Machines come everywhere!

The annual camping trip this year was Elk Lake.  We seem to go somewhere new every year trying to find a lonely place no one goes! :D We thought  miles off the main road, bumpy washboard, pretty-much-only-4-wheel-drive-access would do it, but...other people had the same idea. Nevertheless, it was a lovely place, the weather perfect (the first night was a bit cold) and the lake predictably moody and lovely.

                       As always, we  brought a good supply of machines and shovels with us, but the most popular play activities were throwing rocks into the lake, hiking, exploring, and playing in the lake.

  We spent all our time hiking, sitting by the arm fire, reading, and eating :D  We felt refreshed and glad to go home to a hot shower and our own beds!
